The Role
As Corporate Tax Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, providing proactive advice and overseeing compliance services. You’ll also support advisory work including business structuring, transactions, and entrepreneurial tax planning.
- Managing a portfolio of UK corporate tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of compliance work
- Leading advisory projects such as restructures, acquisitions, and corporate tax planning
- Managing assignments end-to-end — from budgeting and resourcing to presenting findings to clients
- Providing clear, commercially focused tax advice with practical recommendations
- Developing technical expertise and presenting research in both written and client-facing formats
- Managing and mentoring junior team members, providing guidance and on-the-job training
- Building strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
- Identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk
- Representing the firm at networking and business development events
About You
You’ll be a technically strong and commercially aware tax professional who enjoys variety, responsibility, and developing client relationships. You will:
- Be CTA, ATT, ACA, or equivalent qualified (or have equivalent knowledge)
- Have proven experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory work within an accountancy or professional services environment
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be confident managing a client portfolio and leading projects
- Have previous experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
- Be proactive, organised, and able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Have experience with Alphatax (preferred) and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with high-net-worth individuals, corporate restructures, or trusts would be advantageous but not essential
