Role responsibilities

  • Overseeing the tax department and setting the strategic direction for the firm’s tax offering
  • Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, providing high-quality compliance and advisory services
  • Delivering technical expertise and proactive advice on complex tax planning and structuring
  • Leading and mentoring the tax team, fostering professional development and maintaining high standards
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and driving client satisfaction
  • Identifying opportunities for business growth, expanding the firm’s tax services and client base
  • Staying updated on changes in tax legislation and ensuring compliance across all areas
  • Collaborating with other departments to deliver seamless and integrated client solutions
  • Representing the firm externally, enhancing its reputation and building networks within the tax advisory market

Candidate Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified, with extensive experience in both personal and corporate tax
  • Proven ability to provide technical expertise and strategic advice across all tax areas
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and managing a high-performing team
  • Commercially minded with a track record of identifying and driving growth opportunities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • A proactive, strategic thinker with the ability to shape and deliver the firm’s tax strategy
