Senior Accountant

In this Senior Accountant job in Wrexham, you will:

• Manage a portfolio of clients
• Deliver high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services
• Work closely with partners and senior management
• Take a proactive role in client relationships and team development

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare first draft financial statements for complex assignments, clearing client queries before review
• Draft tax computations and returns for various entities, completing tax working paper schedules
• Ensure final adjustments are processed and financial statements and statutory tax returns are submitted on time
• Provide coaching, training, and support to Associates, sharing knowledge and experience to enhance team performance
• Produce client management accounts and deliver insightful commentary to support client advisory needs
• Review and improve the working papers produced by Associates

Candidate Requirements:

• Be self-motivated, team-oriented, and driven to succeed
• Hold or be working towards ACCA or ACA qualification
• Have strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
• Possess excellent time management and communication skills
• Have experience with accounting software, including CaseWare (desirable)
• Be passionate about growing within a progressive and supportive environment
