We’re working with a well-established and highly respected accountancy firm based in Kettering, seeking to appoint an experienced Client Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a pivotal role where client relationships, team leadership, and commercial awareness are key.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative firm that offers tailored services across accounts and tax, with particular strength in rural, agricultural, and property sectors. You'll manage a diverse portfolio, take ownership of key client relationships, and play an important role in the development of the team.
This position would suit an ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified individual (or someone qualified by experience) with a strong background in practice and a passion for helping clients thrive.

Role Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, providing a high level of service across accounts and tax
- Develop strong working relationships and become the go-to contact for day-to-day client queries
- Oversee the preparation and review of accounts and tax returns for both incorporated and unincorporated entities
- Provide oversight, guidance, and development for junior members of the team
- Identify tax planning opportunities and contribute to advisory assignments across VAT, NIC, and business structuring
- Support the partners with specialist projects and strategic advisory work
- Plan and delegate work effectively across the team to meet deadlines and budgets
- Monitor progress against key dates for accounts and tax submissions
- Take an active role in WIP management, billing, and client profitability

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a practice environment, with solid knowledge of both accounting and tax
- Managerial experience and/or exposure to rural or property sector clients is advantageous
