Role Responsibilities
In this senior-level role, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting tax team members, providing day-to-day guidance, structured development, and formal reviews
- Overseeing a portfolio of private clients—ranging from business owners and directors to high-net-worth individuals—delivering tailored tax advice and ensuring full compliance
- Maintaining high service standards and ensuring work is delivered within agreed budgets and timelines
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to scope out client needs, allocate resources effectively, and ensure technical accuracy
- Building long-term client relationships through clear communication, trust, and proactive support
- Contributing to business development efforts, including networking, involvement in marketing activities, and proposal preparation for new work
- Ensuring all work aligns with regulatory and internal compliance standards

Candidate Requirements
To succeed in this role, you’ll be someone who combines technical proficiency with leadership capability and commercial awareness.
We’re seeking someone who:
- Is CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA qualified, or brings significant relevant experience in private client tax
- Has a strong grounding in UK tax legislation, particularly in advisory and compliance for individuals
- Has prior experience in accountancy practice, ideally managing their own portfolio
- Brings excellent communication skills and a client-first mindset
- Has led or mentored junior staff and understands how to create a supportive team environment
- Is confident working independently while contributing to broader firm objectives
