We’re recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking practice with a growing presence in Rugby, known for delivering tailored, high-quality services to a diverse client base. Their Corporate Tax team is expanding, and they’re now looking for a Corporate Tax Manager to take ownership of a varied portfolio, provide advisory support, and lead on complex tax matters.
Role Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate compliance work is completed
- Advising on a wide range of tax matters, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and corporation tax
- Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and supporting their development through coaching and mentoring
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and working with partners to deliver tailored advice
- Dealing with HMRC correspondence and representing clients during enquiries and investigations
- Supporting business development activities and contributing to the growth of the firm’s tax services
Candidate Requirements
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients and ensuring timely and accurate submission of returns and computations
- Providing expert advice to clients on corporation tax matters, planning opportunities, and liabilities
- Leading client communications, including handling tax queries and building long-term relationships
- Supporting partners and directors in delivering bespoke tax planning strategies
- Managing WIP and billing, ensuring jobs are delivered efficiently and profitably
- Mentoring junior team members and supporting their development
- Representing the firm at client meetings and in discussions with HMRC
