Key Responsibilities

  • Managing your own portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, VAT returns, and corporate and personal tax computations
  • Building strong and trusted client relationships with proactive, solutions-driven support
  • Acting as a key point of contact, coordinating internal services to ensure high-quality delivery
  • Identifying opportunities to expand service offerings and add value to existing relationships
  • Mentoring and reviewing work prepared by junior team members, offering feedback and development support
  • Collaborating with Directors and Managers to deliver aligned, strategic support to clients
  • Contributing to technical project work, proposals, and tenders
  • Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and promoting best practice internally
  • Utilising cloud platforms such as Xero to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of client service

About You

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Demonstrable experience in a client-facing role within accountancy practice
  • Strong technical skills across accounts prep, tax compliance, and advisory services
  • Commercially aware, with confidence in advising SMEs and business owners
  • Excellent communicator with natural relationship-building skills
  • Organised and detail-focused, able to manage deadlines and client expectations
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable promoting cloud-based solutions
  • A proactive and collaborative team player with a growth mindset
