Client Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, VAT returns, and corporate and personal tax computations
- Building strong and trusted client relationships with proactive, solutions-driven support
- Acting as a key point of contact, coordinating internal services to ensure high-quality delivery
- Identifying opportunities to expand service offerings and add value to existing relationships
- Mentoring and reviewing work prepared by junior team members, offering feedback and development support
- Collaborating with Directors and Managers to deliver aligned, strategic support to clients
- Contributing to technical project work, proposals, and tenders
- Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and promoting best practice internally
- Utilising cloud platforms such as Xero to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of client service
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Demonstrable experience in a client-facing role within accountancy practice
- Strong technical skills across accounts prep, tax compliance, and advisory services
- Commercially aware, with confidence in advising SMEs and business owners
- Excellent communicator with natural relationship-building skills
- Organised and detail-focused, able to manage deadlines and client expectations
- Tech-savvy and comfortable promoting cloud-based solutions
- A proactive and collaborative team player with a growth mindset
