Job Overview
Are you a wine enthusiast with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences? We are seeking a talented and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our team at a high‑end neighbourhood restaurant in West London. We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere where guests can enjoy great drinks, delicious food, and exceptional service.
As a Sommelier, you will be the ambassador of our wine program, responsible for enhancing the guest experience through expert wine pairings, education, and impeccable service. You will work closely with the beverage manager and culinary team to curate an outstanding wine selection that complements our menu offerings.
Salary & Compensation
- Base Salary £32,000 - £35,000 per annum + Service charge circa £10,000 per annum

Responsibilities
- Curate and manage our wine list, ensuring it complements our seasonal menu.
- Provide expert wine recommendations to guests, enhancing their dining experience.
- Train and inspire our team to expand their wine knowledge.
- Oversee wine inventory and ensure proper storage and stock levels.
- Collaborate with chefs and management to pair wines with our culinary offerings.
- Be present on the floor working with the team to provide an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a high end restaurant or hospitality environment.
- A deep passion for wine and a desire to share your knowledge.
- Extensive understanding of global wine regions, varietals, and pairing principles.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- A friendly, professional, and team‑oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Certification from a recognized institution is preferred but not mandatory (Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET).
- Familiarity with beer, spirits, and cocktails is a plus.
