The predicted salary is between 30332 - 37072 £ per year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Screening Engagement Practitioners, Agenda for Change Band 5, to be part of the Screening Engagement Team.

The two posts are being offered as a full-time (37.5 hours per week), on a permanent basis.

The post holders will be based in North Wales and work across localities in North Wales and North Powys.

Working across all national screening programmes, the post holders will also be involved in the work to deliver the implementation plans to support a new lung cancer screening programme that aims to reduce the impact of lung cancer in Wales.

We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals with experience in public health and community engagement.

They will support the work of the Screening Engagement Team in the planning and delivery of projects which focus on reducing screening inequities in specific populations.

If you are highly motivated, with a strong demonstrable background in public health, screening and community engagement then we are keen to hear from you.

Agile working practices are encouraged with the post holders working from one of our offices across Wales and from home.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The role of the Screening Engagement Practitioners is to work with people, partners and national screening programmes in Wales to:

  • Ensure public engagement is at the heart of what we do
  • Work with the team to deliver the community implementation plans to support lung cancer screening.
  • Deliver Screening Awareness Training to community partners.
  • Undertake a range of public engagement activities across Wales that will inform the work of the Screening Division
  • Work with the team and programmes to take forward a range of project that focus on reducing screening health inequalities and inequities.
  • Support the development of high-quality public information, including accessible public information.
  • We are Public Health Wales
