An excellent opportunity has arisen for a keen, highly motivated and experienced Personal Secretary to join North Wales Microbiology.

North Wales Microbiology provides a wide range of diagnostic services to hospitals, clinics and general practitioners across North Wales. The service has a central (hub) laboratory within a new pathology build at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd (Bodelwyddan) and has acute service spoke laboratories at Ysbyty Gwynedd (Bangor) and Ysbyty Maelor (Wrexham). This post will primarily be based in the laboratory at Glan Clwyd Hospital, but the post holder may be required to support colleagues in the Bangor and Wrexham laboratories when necessary.

North Wales benefits from easy access to coast, mountains and proximity to Liverpool, Chester and all that city life has to offer - so walkers, climbers, cyclists, sailors, shoppers and nightlife seekers are all catered for - the best of all worlds. North Wales also has affordable housing and good public transport and road links across Wales to England and further afield - with Ireland also only a short boat trip away.

Informal visits are actively encouraged, come see the laboratory and meet the team.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Microbiology Team based in our Laboratory in Rhyl, Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, providing administrative support within the team. Primarily this role will support the Training Lead. They will also provide support to the Clinical Team.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a keen eye for detail, excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills and an ability to work independently.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post but not essential; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
