Are you passionate about agile delivery and ready to make a meaningful impact in a complex, evolving organisation?

We’re seeking a forward-thinking Delivery Manager / Scrum Master to join our Research, Data and Digital Directorate. This is a dual role that combines delivery leadership with hands-on agile coaching—ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and wants to influence how agile is integrated across digital and data programmes.

As we develop our agile capabilities, you’ll play a key role in guiding teams, facilitating agile ceremonies, and ensuring delivery aligns with organisational priorities. You’ll work across multiple workstreams, supporting teams to deliver value while fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.

If you are a certified Scrum Master with a strong delivery management background—and excited by the challenge of driving agile transformation in a complex setting—we would love to hear from you.

This role combines the responsibilities of a Scrum Master and Delivery Manager. You will:

  1. Drive agile delivery across digital and data projects using Scrum, Kanban, and Lean methodologies.
  2. Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
  3. Coach and mentor teams to become self-organising, high-performing units.
  4. Collaborate with Product Owners and Service Leads to refine user stories and prioritise backlogs.
  5. Develop and maintain delivery plans, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure timely delivery.
  6. Translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for stakeholders.
  7. Promote agile best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  8. Engage with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
  9. Support change management and ensure delivery aligns with NHS governance and policy.

You will be a key figure in our agile evolution—bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to our transformation efforts.
