Opportunities exist in our North Wales Division. Breast Test Wales plans, provides, manages and evaluates the NHS Breast Screening Programme in Wales. The North Wales Region based at Llandudno and Wrexham employs approximately 29 Mammographic staff, comprising of Clinical Specialist Radiographers, Advanced Practitioners, Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and Clinical Imaging Support Workers. We are actively seeking an enthusiastic Advanced Practitioner to join our team. Applications are welcome from experienced Radiographers who are interested in a career in breast screening. The North Wales region has 2 static screening centres with screening and assessment clinic facilities. We also operate 3 Mobile Screening Units which provide local screening services across North Wales.
Main duties of the job:
- You will be expected to hold a post graduate MSc. module in Mammography and image guided interventional procedures of the breast.
- The post will involve travelling to and working on mobile units with some requirement for overnight stays.
- There will also be a requirement to participate in rostered weekend working as necessary to meet the needs of the service.
Qualifications:
- Post graduate MSc. module in Mammography and image guided interventional procedures of the breast is required.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
- Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
