Senior Business Support Manager

The Senior Business Support Manager provides advanced operational support to the Research, Data and Digital Directorate including Lung Screening and Digital Health Protection Programmes.
As part of the central Business Operations leadership team, you will manage operational requirements, including governance, recruitment, and key processes like financial management and communications.
Responsibilities
- Develop operational workstreams and processes that meet the needs of users.
- Manage records via Share Point, driving automation of processes where possible.
- Co‑coordinate and lead senior meetings, preparing agendas, risk and action logs, and tracking progress to delivery dates and budgets.
- Review key documents and prepare monthly and annual reports.
- Lead multiple workstreams to ensure effective operational management of the Directorate and associated programmes.
- Assess and deliver compliance and governance requirements, manage end‑to‑end recruitment for directorate roles as required by the Senior Operations Manager, and maintain documentation via Share Point.
- Generate purchase orders, maintain funding records, and manage procurement with full compliance; monitor expenditure, forecast budgets, and provide insights for informed decisions.
- Act as project manager to ensure accurate project documentation, including plans, Data Protection Impact Assessments, impact assessments, Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) logs, action plans, and minutes.
- Escalate risks promptly and ensure high‑quality reports and audits.
- Address complex stakeholder queries and support service specification development, ensuring outcomes are measurable.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
