We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Tester to join our dynamic Digital and Data team at Public Health Wales. You will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality digital solutions that support national health services. Working closely with senior technical leads and your team, you will contribute to designing, building, and maintaining systems that improve digital health services in Wales. It is a great time to join us as we are adopting new technologies and growing our technical professions. The role sits within the Research, Data and Digital Directorate and contributes directly to the organisation's strategic goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, senior leaders, and external partners to help shape effective, future-ready services across the health system. Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and executing testing activities to support quality standards for secure and interoperable systems.
  • Use testing tools under guidance and contribute to basic test automation, following established best practices.
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with technical, clinical, and business requirements.
  • Apply agile and user-centred testing practices and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Follow data protection, cyber security, and national standards in all testing activities.
  • Assist with defect tracking and troubleshooting, helping maintain system reliability through effective testing.
