An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for the Health Protection Team in Public Health Wales in Cardiff.
Looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the post of Administration and Resource/Notification Officer. The post holder will be expected to adopt a flexible approach when the needs of the service require (i.e. during an outbreak/incident scenario) and demonstrate an ability to effectively manage and re-prioritise their workload.
The ability to speak Welsh at Level 3 or above is essential for this role.
Must be able to attend the office on a regular basis.
This is a permanent, full-time band 3 position. The role is hybrid but with the requirement to regularly attend the office in Cardiff. The closing date is 28/07/2026 23:59.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support as part of the Health Protection Service in Public Health Wales. This includes receiving notifications by telephone, managing the inbox, supporting the coordination and sharing of resources, and organising meetings and taking concise and clear minutes.
As the first point of contact for the All-Wales Acute Response Service, the post holder will receive telephone notifications of an often complex nature and accurately record them on the national incident and case management system.
Welsh language skills at level 3 (able to hold a conversation about familiar topics) or higher, are essential for this role. Opportunities to further develop your Welsh will be communicated regularly when in-post.
