The creation of the NHS Wales Executive from 1 April 2023 is an essential part of making the health system in Wales fit for the future and achieving A Healthier Wales vision of a whole-system approach to providing excellent health and social care across Wales.Working on behalf of the Welsh Government, the Executive’s role is to provide strong leadership and strategic direction and enable and support the delivery of national priorities and standards.
Within the new NHS Wales Executive (the Executive), newly configured National Strategic Clinical Networks are a key component of the National Clinical Framework (NCF) model. National Strategic Clinical Networks perform the central role of the ‘knowledge-to-practice element in the Learning Health and Care System laid out in the National Clinical Framework. Their position within the Executive enables them to play a role in fulfilling the expectations set out in the Executive’s Mandate and Remit Letter.
This is an exciting and significant national role in the NHS Wales Executive. The remit of the role is broad, and it provides an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on improving health outcomes and experience for the population of Wales., The post-holder will support the Strategic Network Manager to:

Provide national direction on how best to organise, deploy and develop resources.

Determine and promulgate ways to secure improved outcomes by using evidence-based approaches to delivery.

Management of key staff in the network team.

Oversight of project management, performance and delivery.
