At a pivotal moment for public health, the appointee will balance internationally excellent [Reader: world‑leading], impactful research with inclusive, student‑centred education. They will advance King’s College London’s strategic aims by leading high‑quality research that addresses the delivery, organisation and evaluation of healthcare and public health, combining methodological rigour with real‑world impact. The postholder will help shape and lead public health research across the King’s Population Health Institute, the School of Life Course & Population Sciences, and King’s Health Partners, including collaborative grant development, postgraduate supervision, and cross‑disciplinary partnerships - enhancing King’s contribution to policy and society locally, nationally and globally.

As strategic lead for the MSc Public Health (Online), they will integrate research into lectures, seminars and asynchronous learning, champion inclusive digital pedagogy, and provide excellent pastoral support that inspires future public health leaders and evidence‑based practitioners.

In a concurrent role as School Education Lead, the appointee will coordinate and enhance teaching across the School’s postgraduate portfolio (e.g., MPH, MSc Global Health), championing curriculum design, assessment, digital innovation and student support.

The Senior Lecturer/Reader in Public Health is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

The concurrent role of School Education Lead will be offered as a fixed-term three year post.
