About The Role
We are looking for someone to join our Business Support team, reporting to the Business Support Lead, to help keep Public Digital running smoothly day to day. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation and take a practical, service-focused approach to creating a beautifully functioning, welcoming working environment for our people.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Help create a beautifully run, welcoming office environment by overseeing our facilities, utilities, equipment, and day-to-day essentials
- Ensure the office runs smoothly and looks professional, responding flexibly to ad hoc tasks that support the wider team
- Build strong working relationships with our landlord, suppliers, and building reception, coordinating repairs, maintenance, and visitor arrivals
- Be a friendly first point of contact for visitors, greeting people warmly, offering refreshments, and helping with onward travel, where needed
- Keep everyday spaces working well by monitoring and reordering kitchen, bathroom, and stationery supplies, and reviewing services and costs
- Support collaboration by managing meeting room bookings, resolving clashes, and arranging external space, when required
- Work closely with the Business Support team to deliver a high-quality, people-centred support service across the business
- Support internal events, ceremonies, and socials, working with the Events Manager and Business Director
- Handle post, courier packages, and requests efficiently, making sure communication is clear and closed off
- Provide cover for time-sensitive tasks during team holidays or sickness and take part in team meetings and occasional offsite workshops
Requirements
- Experience supporting an office, facilities, or operational function, with responsibility for day-to-day coordination and problem-solving
- Experience in assisting with the organisation of company-wide events
- A track record of creating a well-run, welcoming working environment that supports colleagues' needs
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, keeping things organised and running smoothly
- Confidence in handling unexpected or challenging situations calmly and finding practical solutions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, visitors, and external suppliers
- A proactive approach, spotting issues early and taking ownership to resolve them
- Attention to detail, with care taken to ensure spaces, processes, and information are accurate and up to date
- Comfort using everyday digital tools, including MacBooks and Google Workspace
