About Public Desire: Public Desire is a bold, trend-led global footwear brand for fearless, fashion-obsessed individuals. With a cult following and a powerful online presence, we’re all about leading trends, not following them. We’re now looking for a creative and socially-savvy Social Media & Influencer Assistant/Executive to join our in-house team and help grow our digital presence across all major platforms.
Role Overview: Based full-time at our Manchester HQ, this role reports directly to the Global Head of Marketing & Brand. You’ll support the development of engaging, platform-native content across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You’ll also help drive influencer partnerships, assist in content shoots, and play a key role in the planning and delivery of creative campaigns and brand events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media: Plan, create, and post daily content across all core platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube (inc. Shorts), Facebook, and LinkedIn. Ideate and shoot social-first content in-studio and on-location—styling, filming, editing, and publishing to each channel. Stay ahead of emerging trends, viral moments, and platform updates, especially across TikTok and Reels. Engage with our community: respond to DMs, comments, mentions, and reshare UGC. Help analyse and report on social performance and provide ideas to evolve our strategy.
- Influencer Marketing: Source and connect with influencers and creators who align with Public Desire’s style and values (UK & international). Manage daily gifting and seeding campaigns, including outreach and content follow-up. Support in managing paid campaigns and longer-term ambassador partnerships. Keep influencer records and performance data organised and up-to-date. Assist in planning and delivering exciting influencer activations, collaborations, and events.
- Creative & Events: Work closely with the creative and marketing team to produce campaign, product, and behind-the-scenes content. Assist in studio and on-location shoots with styling support and social capture. Bring fresh ideas to brainstorms and contribute to the planning of events, pop-ups, and PR moments. Ensure all content and collaborations are aligned with brand tone, visuals, and messaging.
About You: 1–2 years of experience in a social media or influencer-related role within fashion, e-commerce, or lifestyle. Strong understanding of how to create engaging content across all platforms—especially TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Confident creating and editing content using tools like CapCut, Canva, Adobe Rush, or similar. Passionate about fashion, youth culture, trends, and digital storytelling. Highly organised, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. A natural communicator with a strong eye for visual aesthetics and social tone.
Perks: Staff discount & exclusive product drops. Vibrant office environment with a creative, fashion-forward team. Opportunities to attend industry events and influencer campaigns. Real responsibility, creative input, and career growth potential. Be part of a fast-growing global brand with big plans ahead.
