Role Overview
Pubity Group is looking for a Talent Manager to identify, attract, and place talent across both commercial and editorial opportunities, spanning our full brand portfolio, including Pubity, Fluffy, OFC and our wider Shows and Studio output. This is a dual-facing role. On the commercial side, you'll source and book talent for brand partnership campaigns, sponsored content, and client-facing activations. On the editorial side, you'll identify and develop talent for original programming, social formats, hosted content, and shows development, working closely with the Shows and Creative teams to build a strong, diverse talent pipeline. You’ll build and manage a network of on-screen presenters, creators, cultural voices, and subject matter experts, ensuring Pubity Group always has the right people for the right opportunity, at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development: Proactively identify and build relationships with talent suited to both commercial campaigns and editorial programming, including presenters, creators, influencers, journalists, and cultural voices. Maintain a live, well-organised talent database covering availability, rates, representation, areas of expertise, and previous work with Pubity Group. Stay ahead of emerging talent across social platforms, entertainment, sport, culture, and news, surfacing names before they become obvious choices. Build a pipeline that supports our growth across UK, US, and international markets, with geographic and demographic breadth across the roster.
- Commercial Talent Booking: Work closely with Brand Strategy, Client Services, and Planning & Activation teams to understand campaign briefs and identify talent who can authentically deliver against commercial objectives. Manage the end-to-end booking process, from initial approach and negotiation through to contracts, usage rights, and briefing. Present recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders with clear rationale, audience data, and relevant case studies. Negotiate fees and deal terms with talent representatives, balancing client budgets with fair market rates. Track performance post-campaign, feeding results back into future talent strategy and client recommendations.
- Editorial Talent Development: Partner with the Shows Development and Creative teams to identify talent suited to original programming, hosted formats, and editorial content across our brand channels. Contribute to the development and pitching of show concepts where talent is central to the format, helping shape ideas around the right presenter, host, or personality. Build long-term relationships with editorial talent, nurturing emerging voices into repeat working relationships that grow with the business. Support talent through production, acting as their point of contact and ensuring a positive, professional experience on Pubity Group projects.
- Relationships & Industry Presence: Build and maintain strong relationships with talent agencies, management companies, PR firms, and independent representatives across the UK, US, and beyond. Represent Pubity Group at industry events, screenings, and networking opportunities to raise our profile as a destination for talent. Position Pubity Group as a credible, exciting creative partner, communicating our brand values, audience reach, and production capability with confidence.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years' experience in talent management, talent booking, or a related role within media, entertainment, digital content, or a talent agency.
- Demonstrable experience booking talent for both commercial and editorial contexts, understanding that the requirements, relationships, and deal structures differ significantly between the two.
- An existing network of talent contacts, agents, and managers, with the ability to open doors and move quickly when the right opportunity arises.
- Strong negotiation skills across deal terms, fees, usage rights, and exclusivity, at varying budget levels.
- A strong instinct for who resonates with audiences across social platforms, and why.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple bookings, negotiations, and relationships at once.
- Comfortable presenting talent strategies to clients and senior internal stakeholders.
What Good Looks Like
- When a brief lands, commercial or editorial, there are already relationships in place and names to put forward immediately.
- Recommendations are always backed by clear rationale: audience fit, tone, track record, and relevance.
- Talent want to work with Pubity Group again, because their experience was well-managed, professional, and creatively rewarding.
- The business is never scrambling at the last minute, because the pipeline is always warm.
- You bring new names and ideas into the business, shaping what's possible through talent rather than just reacting to briefs.
Nice to Have
- Experience working within or alongside a social-first publisher, content studio, or digital media brand.
- Existing relationships with agents and management across sport, entertainment, lifestyle, and culture verticals.
- Familiarity with audience analytics tools used to evaluate talent (e.g. Social Blade, Modash, Nielsen, or equivalent).
- Experience contributing to format development or original programming pitches where talent is a core component.
Working Style
- Personable and well-networked, able to build genuine, lasting relationships with talent and their representatives.
- Commercially astute, able to communicate the business value of the right talent in the right context.
- Editorially curious, genuinely interested in culture, content, and what makes talent connect with an audience.
- Discreet and professional, handling sensitive conversations around fees, representation, and availability with tact.
- Proactive and self-starting.
