We’re looking for a Product Engineer to help Pubity build better products, data tools, and AI-powered experiences. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with users and turning real business problems into elegant, practical software. You’ll work across frontend, backend, data, and AI, with the opportunity to take on meaningful ownership quickly.
The opportunity:
Pubity Group is one of the world’s largest social publishers, with 22+ brands, 170M+ followers, and more than 180 billion lifetime views. Technology is increasingly central to how we create content, understand audiences, serve commercial partners, and run the company. We have rich data, ambitious teams, and significant opportunities to improve how decisions are made and work gets done. You won’t spend your time implementing perfectly defined tickets or working on one narrow part of the stack. You’ll collaborate with people across the business, understand what they are trying to achieve, and help shape the right solution.
What you’ll do:
- Build useful products end to end.
- Partner with product and business stakeholders to understand their goals, users, workflows, and constraints.
- Turn that context into elegant, practical products across frontend, backend, data, and deployment.
- Connect information from different systems while making sources, assumptions, and data quality clear.
- Take features from discovery through prototyping, release, adoption, and iteration.
- Build intuitive interfaces, data products, dashboards, and analytical tools that make complex information easier to use.
- Balance speed, quality, maintainability, and business value.
Build AI-native products:
- AI is already part of how Pubity works. You’ll help turn promising ideas and workflows into reliable products people actually use.
- Build AI-powered tools, automations, and agents using modern models, APIs, and development tools.
- Use AI to explore, prototype, and ship faster while remaining responsible for the quality and security of the output.
- Recognize when AI-generated code or solutions are poor quality, insecure, overly complex, or wrong, and know how to improve them.
- Design for unpredictable outputs, privacy, failure modes, cost, latency, testing, monitoring, and fallbacks.
- Decide when AI provides the right solution and whether an idea should remain an experiment or become a lasting product.
Work close to the business:
You’ll sit within Product and Delivery and work directly with teams across content, commercial, audience, data, and operations. The best solutions will combine their expertise with strong product judgment and technical capability. Success is not only shipping software; it is building something that gets used and helps the business achieve an important goal.
Who we’re looking for:
- You’ve built and shipped real products, ideally within a startup, scale-up, consumer technology company, or another fast-moving product environment.
- You combine strong frontend skills with the technical range to work across the stack.
- You have good UI and UX instincts and enjoy making complex products feel simple.
- You are creative, responsive, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- You ask good questions, work well with non-technical people, and challenge an initial request when there is a better way to achieve the underlying goal.
- You use AI naturally to accelerate your work, but you understand what you are building and can explain your decisions.
You’ll have:
- Strong React and TypeScript skills, with examples of interfaces or product experiences you have built or materially improved.
- Enough backend, API, and database experience to work across the stack, even if frontend is your strongest area.
- Practical experience building with AI or LLMs, professionally or through credible personal projects.
- The judgment and initiative to turn an ambiguous problem into a useful product.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
Our current stack:
- React and TypeScript
- Supabase and Postgres
- n8n and BigQuery
- Netlify
- Modern AI models, APIs, and development tools
You don’t need experience with every technology listed. We care more about strong product engineering fundamentals and evidence that you can learn quickly.
Bonus points for:
- Experience working on a consumer product or in a startup or scale-up.
- Experience building data, analytics, or intelligence products.
- Experience in media, publishing, social, advertising, or the creator economy.
- Experience taking an idea from zero to launch.
- Side projects, open-source contributions, or products you can show us.
What success looks like:
Within your first few months, you’ll understand Pubity’s business and technology and be shipping useful features with the team. As you grow into the role, you’ll own features from problem through release, contribute to product and design decisions, and build trusted relationships with the teams using what you create. Ultimately, you’ll help us build faster, make our data more useful, and turn the best opportunities in AI into products that deliver measurable value.
Why join us?
- Build products at one of the world’s largest social publishers.
- Work with rich content, audience, campaign, and commercial data.
- Get hands‑on exposure across product, UI and UX, AI, data, media, and commercial.
- Solve real problems with direct access to the people experiencing them.
- Join a small team with short decision cycles and significant ownership.
- Help shape how our products and engineering capability develop.
- Full benefits package.
- London HQ, hybrid working.
