We're looking for a

Business Affairs Manager to own our contract workflow and become the hub that keeps our commercial growth moving.

The Role

We're scaling fast and need someone to own our contract workflow end-to-end. You'll be the central point of contact between Sales, Client Services and our external legal partners.

You'll review and negotiate commercial terms with brand and agency partners (IP ownership, licensing, usage rights). It's a hands‑on role with real autonomy.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Act as the central point of contact for the commercial teams, owning all contract negotiations and legal matters end-to-end.
  • Review and negotiate commercial terms with brand and agency partners, including IP ownership, licensing terms and usage rights.
  • Create and maintain standardised contract templates and playbooks so routine agreements can move through without needing outside counsel every time.
  • Run training sessions with Sales and Client Services so the team can handle more contracts themselves and reduce unnecessary escalations.
  • Review and negotiate production partner agreements, talent contracts, location and talent releases and production insurance.
  • Provide advertising regulatory and content clearance advice to the commercial teams.
  • Escalate complex or high‑risk matters to external counsel and manage that relationship directly on behalf of the business.
  • Monitor contract turnaround times, identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to our contracting process.
  • Transition the business from its current interim contract workflow to a permanent, scalable function.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations on legal, compliance and risk matters as needed.

About You

  • You're highly organised and detail-oriented, with a strong commercial instinct.
  • You're comfortable operating autonomously and building something from scratch in a fast‑moving environment.
  • A law degree is a bonus, but equivalent commercial contracts experience is just as valuable.
  • You have experience in or a strong interest in media, content or entertainment.
  • You communicate clearly, translating legal concepts for non‑legal people.
  • You're confident briefing external counsel and managing that relationship directly.
  • What Success Looks Like

You’ll have reduced contract turnaround times, driven down legal fees, shifted routine contracts in‑house so they no longer need external counsel review and established consistent, well‑governed processes across the commercial team.

Sounds like you? We'd love to hear from you.

Pubity Group is committed to fostering equal opportunities within our organisation.

We are dedicated to building a diverse workforce at every level, and we warmly invite all community members to pursue openings with us.
