We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to be the first in‑house engineer building Pubity Suite, the internal product platform behind one of the World’s largest social publishers.
The opportunity:
- Pubity Suite is the operating system behind 22+ social first brands, 170M+ followers, and more than 180 billion lifetime views.
- It runs daily across editorial, social, commercial, finance and leadership.
- The platform is real and it has users. Until now the Suite has been built by an external partner. We’re bringing that build in house.
You’ll inherit a live platform, take direct ownership of the technical bar from day one. If you want a foundational engineering seat in a company that moves quickly, builds with AI by default, and takes the work seriously, this is the one.
What you’ll do:
- Build the Pubity Suite
- Take direct ownership of the in‑house build.
- Ship new modules across active programmes.
- Inherit code, context and live products from our external partner in a structured handover.
- Own the workflow orchestration layer. N8N is our preferred orchestrator and the operating system underneath the Suite today.
- Refactor it where needed and decide when to extend in n8n versus pull logic back into code.
- Set our internal engineering standards: branching, review, deploys, environments, observability, security baseline, dependency hygiene.
- Build AI native, by default.
- Treat AI as a first‑class building material, not a bolted‑on feature.
- Work hands on with Claude and other LLM tooling.
- Design flows that handle failure modes well and that people return to.
- Spot what should be productionised.
- Work close to the business.
- Sit alongside the Director of Special Projects, who owns scope and intake.
- Partner with our data lead/consultant on the API – BigQuery warehouse and pipeline integration.
- Work with editorial, commercial, audience and operations leads on the products you ship.
Who we’re looking for:
- You’ve shipped real products in production, end to end.
- You think like a builder and an operator.
- You care how things land with users, not just whether the code is elegant.
- You’re comfortable owning the full stack, comfortable in a small, impactful team.
- You’ll have 4+ years building and shipping production web applications as a full stack engineer who owns features end to end.
- Strong React and TypeScript.
- You can architect and refactor nontrivial frontends, not just hand‑roll components.
- Strong Postgres or equivalent.
- Comfortable designing schemas, writing performant queries, managing migrations and reasoning about data integrity.
- Working experience integrating LLM APIs into real products.
- Designing flows, handling failure modes and building useful AI features.
- Experience integrating with a data warehouse or analytics backend in production.
- The ability to ship without supervision.
- You can take a brief, sequence it, build it, deploy it and own it through to adoption.
- Pragmatism. We move quickly, pay down debt deliberately and don’t over‑engineer.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- You’ll work with non‑technical stakeholders every day.
Bonus points for:
- Experience in media, publishing, social or the creator economy.
- Familiarity with Supabase specifically, or with similar BaaS platforms.
- BigQuery experience.
- Familiarity with n8n.
- Equivalent experience with code‑first orchestrators such as Temporal, Airflow or Prefect is welcome.
- Design sensibility. You care how things look and feel, not just how they function.
- Experience replacing legacy or external vendor systems with in‑house builds.
- Open source contributions or side projects we can look at.
Why join us?
- A foundational engineering seat at one of the World’s largest social publishers.
- Direct ownership of products that ship to real users from week one.
- A small senior team with short decision cycles and very little process drag.
- Hands‑on exposure to the commercial, editorial and data sides of a 170M+ follower business.
- Genuine AI integration work, in a business that uses it daily.
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
- Full benefits package.
- London HQ, hybrid (4 days pw in office).
