Overview: We are looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to lead the Meme Unit, overseeing some of the biggest meme and entertainment pages in the world, including Memezar, Moviezar, Girlyzar, Memelord, Britishmemes. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone with impeccable knowledge of UK, US, and global meme and social culture. You will drive growth, shape creative direction, and lead a high-performing team that produces fast, reactive, and culturally relevant content daily. Your focus will be audience growth, creative quality, and team structure. You will guide editors, freelancers, and designers to produce consistent, high-impact content while using insights and data to shape what works next. This role sits at the center of Pubity Group’s meme ecosystem and requires someone who understands how to move quickly without losing clarity or tone.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead Content and Growth Strategy: Own and execute the day-to-day content strategy for all Meme Unit brands. Use performance data and audience insights to assess what is working and where to improve. Build and evolve content pillars, recurring formats, and posting rhythms for each brand. Ensure all output is consistent, on-brand, and designed to grow reach, engagement, and cultural relevance.
  • Creative and Editorial Leadership: Guide and support editors and freelancers to create sharp, fast, and original meme content. Be hands-on in idea generation, caption writing, and trend adaptation. Maintain a balance between speed and quality, ensuring each post reflects the tone and personality of the page. Encourage experimentation and collaboration across the Meme Unit.
  • Audience Growth and Platform Management: Drive audience expansion across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, Threads, and Facebook. Identify and capitalise on new platform features and content trends. Balance serving existing followers with finding new audience segments across UK, US, and global markets.
  • Team and Workflow Management: Oversee scheduling, workflow, and delivery across multiple meme pages. Partner with the Social Operations Lead to improve process, speed, and consistency. Foster accountability, clear communication, and high creative standards across the team.
  • Performance and Reporting: Track growth, engagement, and post performance across all Meme Unit brands. Report key insights weekly, highlighting wins, learnings, and growth opportunities. Use analytics to influence strategy and identify repeatable success patterns.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years in social media management or content leadership roles, ideally in entertainment or meme publishing.
  • Proven ability to grow audiences and lead high-performing social teams.
  • Impeccable knowledge of UK, US, and global meme and social culture, with a strong sense of what makes content go viral.
  • Strong editorial instincts, creative confidence, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret analytics and apply learnings to creative strategy.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-volume environment.

  • Experience leading multi-million-follower meme or entertainment brands.
  • Background in building content systems or playbooks for creative teams.
