We’re looking for a Social Media & Community Manager to help grow Pubity’s emerging brands, as we develop their brand identities. You’ll work across an exciting mix of brands, including Old Friend Club, Dad Says Jokes, Filmseal, Fluffy, Backpacking, Try Each Other’s and Acknowledge AI. This is a hands-on role for someone who can write with personality, engage communities in a quirky and Gen Z-aware way and truly understands the social media landscape and what stops the scroll.
About the role- Own the day-to-day channel management
- Manage and grow Old Friend Club and Try Eachothers across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
- Work with the freelancer channel managers to communicate best practices and optimise content.
- Work confidently with fast turnarounds and reactive editing when trends move quickly.
- Identifying creators to work with and opportunities to increase engagement.
- Craft captions and copy that’s witty, warm, and culturally aware.
- Manage community engagement daily: reply, moderate when needed, and keep the tone consistent across channels and brand outreach.
- Spot trends and act with good judgement.
- Identify relevant trends early and translate them into content that fits our emerging brands.
- Know what to lean into, what to adapt and what to avoid.
- Report regularly to and collaborate with the Senior Social Media Manager, Emerging Brands on content strategy, learnings, and content priorities for the emerging brands portfolio.
- Partner with the production teams to brainstorm and shape original formats and IP.
- Collaborate with freelance social media managers globally to support output and best practice.
- 3-5 years in social media or channel management.
- Editing skills desirable across video + photo (e.g. Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Canva or equivalents).
- Hands-on experience managing large social media channels and creating content.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Excellent understanding of social media dynamics, trends, and platform algorithms.
- Confident copywriting and community instincts: engaging, witty, and always brand appropriate.
- Strong organisation and collaboration skills; comfortable working across departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent cultural and platform shifts.
- Enthusiasm and ambition to work on many different brand genres and projects - from dog content to movie content!
- Experience working on entertainment, viral, or social-first media brands.
- Interest or experience using AI tools to support content workflows and creative testing.
