As we continue scaling our social operations, we're looking for a Content Research Manager to lead the discovery and acquisition of high-performing UGC content for our Facebook brands. This is a strategic and operational role — perfect for someone with deep platform experience, excellent communication skills, and a sharp eye for high-engagement video content. You'll support the Social Video Manager by overseeing junior editors and optimising internal processes to ensure scalable, rights-safe content workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the discovery, rights clearance, and editorial packaging of high-impact UGC video content for all Facebook channels.
- Manage direct outreach to content owners and maintain a high response and conversion rate across global contributors.
- Ensure all content is legally cleared, with thorough copyright, IP, and usage rights confirmed, in line with internal protocols.
- Supervise day-to-day tasks of junior team members and support team development.
- Use editorial judgement to identify content that aligns with brand tone, audience interests, and platform performance trends.
- Collaborate with the internal video editing team by storyboarding and briefing edits for licensed content.
- Support and help improve scalable workflows for sourcing, reviewing, tagging, and publishing approved videos.
- Maintain an organised and trackable pipeline of content submissions, rights requests, and usage records.
- Compile daily and weekly performance reports on acquired content, including engagement data, conversions, and KPIs.
- Stay up to date with platform trends, Facebook best practices, and compliance risks across international publishing markets.
- 3+ years of experience in content licensing, social publishing, rights acquisition, or UGC video editorial.
- Exceptional understanding of Facebook video content, platform standards, and audience preferences.
- Proven understanding of copyright, fair use, and content licensing frameworks, particularly in digital media.
- Strong communicator across email, phone, and messaging platforms — capable of securing content rights quickly and clearly.
- Team leadership qualities with experience delegating tasks, mentoring, and helping structure effective workflows.
- Highly organised with experience using performance tools and editorial trackers.
- Editorially sharp — able to spot and act on content that will perform across multiple audience types.
- Confident briefing creative teams and giving clear feedback.
- Comfortable in a high-output, reactive publishing environment.
