The Marketing Officer – VAS is responsible for supporting the planning, execution and optimisation of marketing campaigns and retail activity across the Value Added Services portfolio, including Financial Services, VAS and Mobile offerings. This role plays a critical coordination and execution function – working closely with internal stakeholders, VAS partners, agencies and stores to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, in budget, and in line with brand and business objectives. The role is well suited to a detail-oriented, commercially minded marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys turning strategy into flawless execution.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
  • 2-4 years’ experience in a marketing, retail marketing or campaign coordination role
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, financial services, telecommunications or partnership-based marketing environments is advantageous
  • Exposure to multi-channel campaigns (in‑store, digital, mobile, ATL) preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Management: Support the development, rollout and performance tracking of VAS marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including in‑store, digital, mobile, and above-the-line media. Coordinate end-to-end campaign briefing with VAS partners, internal teams and external agencies. Manage campaign timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget execution. Track campaign performance, customer engagement and post-campaign results; assist with insights and recommendations for optimisation. Manage and coordinate monthly internal VAS marketing communications. Coordinate creative briefs and layout requirements for the Mobile catalogue. Manage campaign assets, copy decks and approval processes to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance across all channels. Support partnership marketing initiatives, including coordinating briefs, assets, approvals and execution for partner-led campaigns and promotions.
  • Retail Marketing & In‑Store Execution: Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all VAS signage, collateral and promotional material in store. Oversee in-store screen content, including briefing, scheduling, updates and quality control to ensure relevance, compliance and alignment to campaign activity. Monitor in-store execution and proactively flag gaps or risks relating to visibility, compliance or implementation. Support the delivery of store-based marketing activity in line with promotional calendars and retail objectives.
  • Market Research, Insights & Reporting: Conduct competitor analysis and monitor relevant retail, financial services and category trends to support campaign planning. Track campaign performance and compile post-campaign reports for management and stakeholders. Gather insights from campaign data, store execution and customer engagement to inform continuous improvement.
  • Trade Marketing, Events & Activations: Assist with the planning and execution of store-based events, product launches and sponsorship activations. Coordinate logistics, promotional materials and customer engagement elements for activations. Liaise with suppliers, agencies, partners and internal teams to support seamless delivery of campaigns and events.
  • Marketing Administration & Governance: Maintain accurate marketing calendars, campaign trackers, project plans and budgets. Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, legal requirements and corporate governance policies. Support the collection and administration of marketing contributions and funds from suppliers. Maintain accurate records of quotations, approvals, invoices and campaign documentation.
