Are you an ambitious transport professional (m/f/d) who enjoys working with people and is looking to broaden your career beyond technical consultancy?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobility Solutions Consultant (m/f/w) to help drive the continued growth of our business across the Benelux and Nordic countries.

Our regional team works with a wide range of clients, including national and local governments, transport operators, engineering consultancies and research institutions.

This is a client-facing role with a strong focus on business development, account management and consultative selling.

You will act as a trusted advisor (m/f/d), helping clients understand their mobility challenges and identifying how PTV's innovative solutions can help them achieve their goals.

The role is ideal for someone with a background in transport planning, traffic engineering or mobility consulting who is ready to take the next step in their career.

You may already have commercial experience, but it is certainly not essential.

We will support you in developing your business development and account management skills while expanding your knowledge of PTV's software portfolio.

You will be based at our office in Vleuten (near Utrecht), with a combination of office, home and client-based working.

The role involves regular travel throughout the Benelux and Nordic countries.

Key responsibilities

  • Account management & Growth
  • Drive the growth of PTV's business across the UK & Ireland.
  • Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic customer accounts.
  • Demonstrate the capabilities of PTV software and mobility solutions to prospective clients.
  • Prepare proposals and contribute to successful commercial negotiations.
  • Technical Consultancy
  • Support clients in delivering high-quality transport and mobility projects using PTV software.
  • Advise customers on the most suitable solutions for their mobility challenges.
  • Deliver software demonstrations, workshops and customer training.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey.
  • Marketing & Community
  • Represent PTV at conferences, trade fairs and industry events.
  • Organise and contribute to customer events, including our annual User Group Meetings.
  • Gather market feedback and customer insights to support future product development and innovation.
  • Personal Development
  • Continuously develop your commercial and technical skills.
  • Grow into a recognised transport professional and trusted advisor within the industry.

What you bring to the team

  • An enthusiastic, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A relevant degree, preferably in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Mobility, Geography or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 3–7 years of experience within the transport or mobility sector.
  • Knowledge of transport planning, traffic engineering or mobility modelling.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate confidently at all organisational levels.
  • Knowledge of microscopic traffic modelling and PTV software will be an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience or interest in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic management, traffic detection technologies or traffic signal systems is a plus.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in business development. Previous sales experience is welcome but not essential.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with sound judgement and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK & Ireland.
