What you'll be doing:
- Lead a team of plumbers and water hygiene technicians across Ministry of Justice contract (prisons) covering the North of England and the Midlands.
- Directly supervise plumbers and water hygiene technicians, including coaching and mentoring, conducting competency assessments, creating/maintaining a training matrix, toolbox talks, and driving the professional development of your team.
- Visit client sites to survey and capture the full scope of water hygiene and remedial plumbing works.
- Create accurate cost estimates and detailed pricing breakdowns to drive project profitability and business growth.
- Manage team schedules and approve rotas, sickness, and annual leave with the assistance of our scheduling team.
- Handle procurement by raising Purchase Orders (POs) and overseeing comprehensive vehicle stock control.
- Perform technical checks on completed jobs and provide hands-on technical assistance to Account Managers.
- Assist in the recruitment process and provide hands-on onboarding for new starters.
- Oversee complex plumbing works on-site, ensuring all projects meet our high standards of quality and safety.
- Regularly attend the Widnes office to manage administrative requirements and team coordination.
What we are looking for:
- City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent), G3 Unvented Hot Water Systems certification and ideally RPZ ticket.
- Proven experience in water hygiene plumbing and supervisory experience or team lead capacity.
- A Full UK Driving License is essential.
- CTC or SC clearance is ideal; alternatively, willingness to apply and undergo relevant clearances.
- Successful candidates must undergo security vetting.
