About the Role

UK Dry Risers Maintenance, a part of the PTSG group are looking for an experienced Remedial Estimator to join our maintenance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in the sprinkler industry who is looking to apply their technical knowledge in a commercial, office-based role.

The role involves preparing accurate quotations for remedial works on sprinkler systems, dry risers and wet risers.

Most quotations are generated following PPM visits, with engineers providing worksheets, photographs and videos detailing the required works.

You will use this information, together with customer pricing matrices and agreed service rates, to prepare detailed quotations and support customers throughout the quotation process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate quotations for remedial works on sprinkler systems, dry risers and wet risers.
  • Review engineer worksheets, photographs and videos to determine the scope of remedial works.
  • Prepare quotations using customer pricing matrices and agreed pricing structures.
  • Review and revise quotations where additional works or further site information becomes available.
  • Respond to quotation requests received via customer portals, Fixflow, email and telephone.
  • Proactively follow up quotations to maximise conversion into confirmed works.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and quotation history.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients.
  • Assist with the preparation of management reports and other administrative tasks.
  • Carry out any additional duties within the scope of the role as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

About You

  • Experience within the sprinkler industry.
  • A sound understanding of sprinkler systems and remedial works.
  • The ability to interpret engineer worksheets, photographs and videos to accurately assess required works.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and confidence using online customer portals.
  • The position is particularly well suited to an experienced Sprinkler Engineer who is ready to come off the tools and move into estimating, while remaining within the industry.

It would also suit someone who has worked within the fire protection industry in a similar estimating, quotations or sales support role and is looking for their next opportunity.
