We work on a wide range of structures including industrial chimneys, towers, high-rise buildings, monuments and bridges, delivering safe and reliable solutions for inspection, repair and maintenance.
The Role
We are looking to recruit IRATA Level 1 and Level 2 Rope Access Technicians for a 3-month temporary contract on the Newport 7 Power Station site. This role will involve carrying out painting and steelwork maintenance using rope access techniques, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out building maintenance works at height using IRATA rope access methods
- Undertake inspections and maintenance of building exteriors, including cleaning, painting, fabric repairs, glazing and mastic works
- Inspect and maintain rope access equipment, reporting any defects
- Ensure all equipment is certified and fit for use
- Complete site assessments and follow safe systems of work
- Work closely with colleagues to complete jobs efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of works completed and safety checks
- Communicate professionally with clients and site contacts
Requirements
- Valid IRATA Level 1 or 2 certification
- 2–3 years’ experience in rope access and building maintenance
- Good understanding of health & safety and working at height
- Physically fit and comfortable working in demanding environments
- Experience in general maintenance disciplines
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
