We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Copyeditor/Proofreader to ensure the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of our technical documentation and courseware. The successful candidate will demonstrate editorial precision, technical literacy, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality work within established timelines and editorial frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread technical courseware and related materials for language, tone, and technical accuracy.
- Review and address document comments and editorial feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with course developers and instructional designers to resolve editorial and content-related queries.
- Refine and format technical activity guides to align with organizational and style standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years’ professional experience in technical editing or proofreading.
- Demonstrated experience working with comprehensive writing style guides.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience editing content produced by non-native English speakers.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to reviewing complex materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt quickly, and meet deadlines.
- Interest in or understanding of data center computing technologies is highly desirable.
- Formal qualifications or certification in editing and proofreading are preferred.
Contract Details
- Fully remote working arrangement.
- Flexible working hours.
- Engagement will begin with an initial trial contract. Consistent work is available for a successful candidate until March 2026 (10–30 hours per week).
Remuneration
Compensation is agreed and paid in USD, and will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, skill set, and versatility. The typical rate offered is $25-$35 per hour.
