Overview of the Role

As part of a successful and growing BIM team, you will be providing support to the Consulting teams delivering industry leading design solutions. Your role will be to produce CAD drawings and 3D Revit Models for the Structured Cabling, AV Multi-Media and Physical Security Consultants service lines, and other disciplines within PTS.

Your organisational and communication skills will help you interact with internal and external contacts to deliver projects within time, quality and budget constraints. You will also work to play an integral role in the driving of quality standards and the development of the team.

Description of Duties (CAD / BIM)

• Production of CAD & Revit drawings and models to include Space plans, Mechanical and Electrical requirements, Details and Elevations drawings, Schematics, Equipment Room designs, Schematics and General arrangement plans and 3D renders.
• Ensure that the model aligns with the standards and goals set in the BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
• Produce Revit families according to project requirements.
• Create BIM Modelling content and maintain content library,
• Develop accurate construction drawings and extract data based on the discipline BIM platform.
• Development and administration of drawing libraries and updating of drawings in line with current technologies.
• Support teams in troubleshooting technical issues and resolving model clashes.
• Use Revit for scheduling and quantities.
• Submission and retrieval of drawings and documents on a variety of client Common Data Environment systems (CDE).

Corporate Responsibilities

• Maintain cognisance of time allowances on projects and maintain commercial efficiency in drawing and document production.
• Adhere to all stated company policies, including Health and Safety.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and betterment of your team and PTS.
• Ensure all time is accurately recorded and updated weekly in the PTS timesheet system.
• Ensure that a project audit trail is maintained, and PTS’ integrity is always maintained.
• Ensure that all work is conducted within the parameters of PTS standards (Project Life Cycle, Change Management etc.), and in accordance with the Company's BS EN ISO 9001 procedures.

Skills

• Demonstrable experience working as a Revit Technician.
• A comprehensive knowledge base of Revit, preferably in an IT/AV role, and associated software and add-ins.
• Must be able to setup new projects in Revit and have detailed knowledge of coordinates and linked models.
• Understand the lifecycle of a project through the RIBA stages from Concept to Construction.
• A demonstrable history of exceptional project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Experience of projects within the construction industry (typically office fit-outs).
• Familiar with quality assurance processes, codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation.
• Ability to liaise and co-ordinate with clients, Architects and all other members of the Design Team.
• Experience of clash detection/resolution process using both Navisworks and Revit
