Role Overview: As a DevOps Software Engineer at PTC, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, highâquality software solutions that support PTC's industryâleading platforms. You will collaborate with crossâfunctional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and help drive innovation across the product lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Handsâon production experience with Kubernetes, including deployments, scaling, and stateful workloads.
- Strong proficiency with Docker, multiâstage builds, image optimization, scanning, and supplyâchain security.
- Expertise with Helm or similar deployment/configuration tooling.
- Experience with a major cloud provider - Azure preferred, AWS acceptable.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, versioning, OAuth/OIDC, JWTs, and related security practices.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases; familiarity with keyâvalue/document stores.
- Strong automated testing discipline: unit, integration, and endâtoâend testing.
- Practical experience with Git and GitLab/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and automated build/release tooling.
- Experience with asynchronous patterns: messaging, queues, and event streams.
- Experience with secrets management and key rotation.
- Strong analytical reasoning, debugging expertise, and problemâsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, collaborating across engineering, DevOps, and platform teams.
