Overview
As a QA Engineer in the Cambridge CAD/PLM engineering team, you will help ensure the quality and reliability of cloud-enabled Saa S platforms.
You will work closely with full-stack, frontend, and Dev Ops teams to cover tests across UI, APIs, and data layers, shaping complex CAD/PLM workflows.
Your work supports scalable backend services and modern web interfaces in a cloud-native environment, within an agile setting.
This role offers impact by improving product quality early in development and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for CAD/PLM web applications
- Validate frontend UI, backend services, APIs, and data layers
- Test complex CAD/PLM workflows (configuration, data integrity, performance, integration points)
- Contribute to and extend test automation frameworks (UI and API)
- Collaborate with engineers using Type Script and Node. js (Nest JS/Express)
- Test frontend applications built with Angular
- Validate backend logic with ORMs (Type ORM, Prisma) and SQL
- Support testing in cloud-native and containerized environments (Kubernetes)
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines and ensure tests run during builds/deployments
- Perform regression, integration, exploratory, and acceptance testing
- Engage in defect triage, root cause analysis, and quality improvement discussions

- Experience as a QA Engineer in a complex software environment
- Hands-on experience testing web-based Saa S platforms
- Strong experience with test automation (UI and/or API)
- Working knowledge of Java Script / Type Script
- Experience testing Node. js backend services (Nest JS, Express)
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks, especially Angular
- Experience testing systems using ORMs (Type ORM, Prisma) and SQL databases
