We're looking for an experienced Electroplater to join a skilled team within the aerospace sector. This is a hands-on role, working on the surface treatment of aircraft components, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare parts for electroplating using masking and surface prep techniques.
- Carry out electroplating processes, including Cadmium, Nickel, Hard Chrome, Alocrom, and Nital etch.
- Follow technical instructions and maintain the correct quality standards.
- Use material handling equipment such as gantry cranes and slings.
- Maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) books and support training where required.
- Work safely in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a plating shop environment.
- Understanding of electroplating processes and related procedures.
- Experience within an EASA 145 environment is advantageous.
- Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Moderate PC literacy and willingness to learn new skills.
Working Conditions:
- Factory shop floor environment, full-time, 4 on / 4 off shifts.
- Some travel may be required.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
- Mandatory training will be provided.
