Principal Electrical Engineer

We’re looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join a growing team of 8 in Oxford, helping deliver building services projects from design through to completion. The team is expanding, so this is a great opportunity to lead on design, manage projects, and mentor junior engineers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading project surveys, feasibility studies, and electrical design
• Producing specifications and drawings
• On-site supervision and contract administration
• Managing mechanical services installations
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in a relevant subject
• 10+ years’ experience for Principal, 5+ years for Senior-level roles
• Experience managing teams and mentoring juniors
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services design
• AutoCAD experience (reading/understanding drawings is important)
• Excellent communication, organisational, and prioritisation skills
• Driving license and own transport
• Competent with Microsoft Office
• Experience with additional design/modelling software (training provided)
