Are you an electricity settlements professional looking for an opportunity to lead a team and shape how a growing energy business operates?
PT Renewables is partnered with an established UK energy business to recruit a Settlements Manager into a newly created position.
Supporting the growth of its electricity portfolio, you'll take ownership of settlements and registrations, manage a Settlements Analyst and a small Registrations team, and help prepare the business for Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS).
Alongside strong industry knowledge, we're looking for someone personable and confident who can develop colleagues, build relationships across the business and explain complex settlement issues clearly.
The opportunity
You'll oversee the accurate registration and settlement of the electricity portfolio, ensuring that meter data, industry records and financial reporting align.
Working closely with Trading, Finance, Commercial and Customer Operations, you'll resolve exceptions, strengthen controls and identify improvements as the portfolio grows.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Leading the settlements and registrations team, setting priorities and supporting dependable delivery against industry deadlines.
- Managing electricity settlements across half-hourly, non-half-hourly and MHHS arrangements.
- Overseeing the MPAN lifecycle, including new connections, changes of supply, agent appointments and disconnections.
- Reconciling consumption data against industry reports, traded positions and financial records, investigating discrepancies through to resolution.
- Identifying revenue leakage and providing accurate inputs for billing, accruals and month-end reporting.
- Leading operational readiness for MHHS migration and translating industry changes into practical processes.
- Managing relationships with metering agents, data service providers and other industry parties.
About you
You'll bring a strong grounding in GB electricity settlements, alongside an understanding of registrations, meter-data lifecycles and the wider supplier environment.
You'll ideally have:
- Strong knowledge of the BSC, Supplier Volume Allocation and electricity registration processes.
- Practical understanding of half-hourly and non-half-hourly settlements, with knowledge of the MHHS operating model.
- Experience investigating settlement, metering or registration exceptions and working with external agents to resolve them.
- Strong Excel, reconciliation and analytical skills.
- The confidence to explain volume and cost movements to senior stakeholders and non-technical colleagues.
- A practical, supportive leadership style with clear accountability.
Direct MHHS delivery experience, familiarity with settlement and/or billing platforms, would be advantageous.
What's on offer?
- Up to £65,000 base salary, depending on experience.
- Hybrid working in Oxford office
- Bonus opportunity of up to 20%.
- 25 days' annual leave.
