Mobile Repair Technician – £35,000 – £40,000

Permanent | Full Time | 37.5 hours – Monday to Friday

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Reactive Electrician to carry out maintenance repairs across a mix of secondary and primary schools in the Derby area. You’ll provide a planned, preventative, and responsive repair service to ensure client facilities are maintained to the highest standard. Your role will primarily involve electrical PPM and repair works, including:

• Fault finding
• Emergency lighting tests
• Fuse board inspections
• Repairs to sockets and switches
• PAT testing
• Rewiring
• General electrical compliance

Responsibilities

As part of a multi-skilled team, you will also assist with basic plumbing, mechanical, and fabric repairs. This is a mobile position, so a valid UK driver’s license is required, and you must be comfortable traveling between sites.

Qualifications

Proven commercial electrical experience

Strong fault-finding and repair capabilities

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification

Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one before starting)

Full UK driver’s license (no more than 6 points; no drink driving offences)
