The Role
- You'll be taking the reins on a portfolio of high-profile landscape and townscape planning projects spanning urban regeneration, new communities, tall buildings, commercial development, infrastructure and energy.
- From concept to planning inquiry, your expertise will help guide decisions that shape real places and long-term outcomes.
- This is a role where you'll lead with confidence, influence strategy, nurture talent, and strengthen client relationships—while being part of a friendly, collaborative, people-first culture.
What you'll be doing
- Lead, oversee and deliver landscape and townscape planning projects with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
- Provide expert input across LVIA, TVIA and strategic landscape assessments.
- Guide, mentor and support a talented team, helping shape their professional growth.
- Engage in business development - supporting bids, building relationships, and spotting new opportunities.
- Work alongside multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver joined-up, innovative project solutions.
- Offer strategic advice on landscape capacity, sensitivity and character, including Green Belt evaluations.
About you
- Extensive experience in landscape planning.
- A proven track record leading complex projects and managing client relationships.
- Strong LVIA / TVIA expertise and a broad understanding of landscape assessment work.
- Excellent communication skills and a leadership style that inspires confidence.
- Chartered status (CMLI or equivalent).
- A proactive, strategic approach and a passion for sustainable, context-sensitive landscape design.
