Technical Facilities Manager in Hook

Technical Facilities Manager in Hook

Hook Full-Time On-site
P

This is an opportunity to take ownership of hard FM delivery across a high-profile defence site in North Hampshire. You'll lead a team of two Assistant Facilities Managers and manage a network of specialist subcontractors, making sure maintenance, compliance and small works are delivered to a high standard.

This is a client-facing leadership role. The customer is demanding and expectations are high, so building strong relationships and communicating clearly at every level matter as much as operational performance. If you're an experienced hard FM manager who is confident in front of a client and strong at holding contractors to account, this is a role where you can make a visible difference.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing the delivery of hard FM services across the site through specialist subcontractors.
  • Leading and developing two Assistant Facilities Managers.
  • Making sure planned preventative maintenance and reactive works meet contractual and compliance requirements.
  • Acting as the main day-to-day contact for the client and wider stakeholders, keeping communication clear and responsive.
  • Monitoring contractor performance against KPIs and SLAs and driving improvement where it's needed.
  • Supporting the delivery of small works and quoted projects.
  • Producing operational reports and keeping compliance documentation accurate and up to date.

What you'll bring

  • Solid experience managing hard FM services through subcontractors or an outsourced delivery model.
  • A track record of client-facing work in demanding, high-expectation environments.
  • Good working knowledge of statutory maintenance, hard FM compliance and health and safety legislation.
  • Experience leading teams and managing direct reports.
  • An electrical or mechanical qualification or trade background would be a real advantage.
  • IOSH or equivalent would be desirable.
