Head of Consultancy Services – Energy & Carbon

1-2 Days a month in Newcastle

Are you ready to take ownership of a growing consultancy function and shape the future of sustainability services?

PT Renewables a fast‑growing management consultancy delivering sustainability and energy solutions to a global client base.

We\’re supporting their search for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Consultancy Services to lead, develop and scale their consultancy offering.

The Role

This is a hands‑on senior leadership position, combining strategic oversight with direct client delivery, team leadership and service development.

You’ll be the driving force behind the consultancy function – setting direction, building capability and ensuring exceptional outcomes for clients.

• Lead and develop the internal consultancy team delivering services – this includes ESOS, SBTi, LCA, EPDs, TCFD, Carbon Footprinting (Scopes 1, 2 & 3) and sustainability training.
• Own and implement process improvements across upselling, cross‑selling, service delivery and client communications.
• Work closely with Marketing to bring consultancy expertise to life through webinars, case studies, thought leadership, articles and industry insights.
• Set, manage and track team targets, P&L, account retention and growth.
• Play an active role in the Senior Leadership Team, providing regular updates on performance, opportunities, success stories and priorities.
• Foster a strong, positive team culture through regular 1‑to‑1s, coaching and leadership of team leads.
• Oversee consultancy project workflows to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Lead client engagement for consultancy services, converting new opportunities and expanding existing accounts.

About You

We\’re looking for a confident, driven leader with a strong consultancy background and a passion for sustainability.

This will suit someone with a strategic thinking mindset, commercial awareness, and who enjoys being involved with both clients and delivery.

You’ll bring

• Proven experience leading consultancy teams and complex client engagements.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing KPIs, P&L and account growth.
• Deep understanding of sustainability frameworks, reporting and regulatory drivers.
• The ability to inspire, develop and retain high‑performing teams.
• A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset with the confidence to challenge and innovate.

Package

• Salary up to £70,000 – flex for the right candidate
• Mostly remote role with 1‑2 days based in the Newcastle office
