What You'll Actually Be Doing
You’ll be out on the road, working independently as part of a close-knit regional team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on forecourt equipment. Think:
- Diagnosing and repairing fuel dispensing pumps, pump controllers, POS systems, tank gauges, DCDs, tank probes, submerged pump systems and PA systems
- Running through planned preventative maintenance schedules
- Commissioning new and refurbished sites, and calibrating fuel dispensers
- Assessing and reporting accidental damage for costing
- Carrying out site surveys
About You
- A solid mechanical understanding, with experience repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment
- A methodical approach to problem-solving, balanced with good instincts
- Strong customer service skills - you'll be dealing directly with site staff and customers
- The confidence to work unsupervised, plus the collaboration to pull together with colleagues
- A valid UK driving licence
No specific forecourt experience?
No problem - if you’ve got a strong mechanical or electromechanical background from another industry, training will be provided to get you up to speed on this kit.
