Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience The Opportunity We're looking for an Intermediate or Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join a growing in-house design team delivering projects across the commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public sectors.
This role is ideal for an ambitious Intermediate Engineer looking to progress their career or a Senior Engineer seeking greater responsibility within a growing and forward-thinking business.
You'll have the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects from concept through to completion, helping to deliver innovative, practical and compliant mechanical building services designs.
The Role Working alongside electrical engineers, project managers, architects and clients, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality mechanical building services designs across all RIBA stages.
Depending on your experience, you'll also have the opportunity to provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and support the continued growth of the design team.
Key Responsibilities Design mechanical building services systems from concept through to detailed design.
Carry out heating and cooling load calculations.
Design LTHW and CHW systems.
Complete pipe sizing and hydraulic calculations.
Select and specify HVAC systems.
Design plantrooms and select mechanical equipment.
Produce public health services designs.
Prepare technical reports, specifications and schedules.
Coordinate designs with architectural, structural and electrical disciplines.
Attend client, design and site meetings.
Ensure designs comply with Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance and industry best practice.
Support projects through construction and commissioning.
Review technical submissions and respond to contractor queries.
