We’re looking for a forward-thinking Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team working on a range of innovative projects across industrial and commercial sectors. This role would suit someone with a modern approach to mechanical design, ideally with strong exposure to the latest CAD technologies, automation-focused design principles, and contemporary manufacturing methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings using modern CAD software
  • Develop innovative engineering solutions from concept through to manufacture
  • Work closely with electrical, manufacturing, and project teams
  • Support product improvement and continuous innovation initiatives
  • Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards and project specifications
  • Participate in design reviews and problem-solving activities

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a mechanical design engineering role
  • Strong CAD capability (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD or similar)
  • Understanding of modern manufacturing and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred
