Job Title: Fire & Security Project Manager
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of fire & security installation projects from order through to completion, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and to a high technical standard.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing projects from initial order through to completion
- Coordinating engineering teams and subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and preparing RAMS
- Producing O&M manuals, certificates, and project documentation
- Managing labour schedules to meet tight deadlines
- Procuring equipment and materials for projects
- Pricing and coordinating additional works within live projects
- Attending meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining client communication
- Liaising with directors, management, and engineering teams
- Driving customer satisfaction and project delivery standards
What we're looking for:
- Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems (essential)
- Experience with security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms) (essential)
- Understanding of IP-based systems (desirable)
- Experience with complex fire alarm design (cause & effect / networking) (desirable)
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (essential)
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Desirable qualifications:
- FIA fire design or equivalent industry qualifications
