Looking for a BIM Engineer who wants real ownership on projects, exposure across the full lifecycle, and the chance to shape BIM standards rather than just execute them.

We're working with an established and growing Building Services consultancy in Cardiff, part of one of the largest privately owned engineering groups in Wales, family-run with 30+ years behind them. They're looking for an experienced BIM Engineer to support the delivery of a varied portfolio across commercial, residential, healthcare, education and mixed-use projects. This isn't a heads-down drafting role. You'll be coordinating multidisciplinary designs, managing BIM models end-to-end, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the M&E design engineers, and feeding into how BIM gets done across the business.

Why this one's worth a look:

  • Genuine variety: commercial, healthcare, education, residential and mixed-use all in the pipeline
  • Real ownership of projects rather than being slotted into someone else's process
  • Established Welsh consultancy with the stability of a 30+ year family-run group behind it
  • Flexible working, modern environment, collaborative team

What you'll be doing:

  • Producing and managing detailed 2D and 3D drawings in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Developing, maintaining and coordinating BIM models across live Building Services projects
  • Working closely with Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers throughout delivery
  • Managing model coordination and clash detection processes
  • Maintaining BIM standards, procedures and documentation
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of BIM workflows across the business

What you'll need:

  • 3+ years in a BIM, Revit or CAD role within Building Services, MEP or consultancy
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience coordinating BIM models on live projects
  • Good understanding of Building Services design and construction processes
  • The independence to drive your own work plus the collaboration skills to work across disciplines

Nice to have:

  • Navisworks, BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud experience
  • BIM Level 2 standards knowledge
  • Exposure to Public Health engineering projects

The package:

Up to £47,000 depending on experience, Cardiff based, flexible working available.

If this sounds like your kind of role, drop me a message or send your CV across.
