An opportunity for an experienced M&E Contracts Manager to take ownership of the commercial and contractual delivery of mechanical and electrical projects across public sector, commercial, and residential buildings. Projects are typically £25k–£1m and focus heavily on retrofit, refurbishment, and decarbonisation works.
The Role
- Manage M&E projects from award to final account
- Oversee subcontractor procurement and performance
- Handle valuations, variations, and cost control
- Support project teams with commercial decisions
- Ensure compliance with Building Regs, CDM, and H&S
- Manage risk, programme delivery, and client relationships
- Support commissioning, handover, and defect resolution
Project Scope
- Heating systems, plantroom upgrades, ASHPs
- Ventilation, AC, and cooling
- Electrical installations (power, lighting, controls)
- Solar PV, battery storage, and BMS
- Retrofit works in live environments
Package
- £50k–£70k base (DOE)
- £60k–£80k package
- 28 days holiday + bank holidays
- 6% pension
- Hybrid working (2 days WFH)

Requirements
- M&E Contracts Manager or Senior M&E PM experience
- Strong M&E contracting background
- Experience delivering projects (£25k–£1m)
- Knowledge of contracts, commercial controls, and H&S/CDM
- Experience managing subcontractors and live environments
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable: Design & Build, renewables/retrofit exposure, APM/RICS
