Project Manager β Mechanical Construction (Southwest / Travel Required)
π Commercial sites across the Southwest
π· Β£70,000 β Β£75,000 + bonus
ποΈ Permanent, full-time
We are looking for a Mechanical-focused Project Manager to lead the delivery of commercial heating and ventilation projects, including large-scale hospital installations. This role is site-based, with travel across the Southwest and occasional stays away during the week. A company van with fuel card is provided for travel.
Role Overview
You will manage projects from design to completion, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and managing mechanical construction projects
- Overseeing installation and commissioning of heating and ventilation systems
- Leading site teams and managing contractors (2-3 direct reports)
- Ensuring quality, safety, and compliance on all sites
- Managing project budgets and resources efficiently
Candidate Requirements
- NVQ Level 6 in Mechanical/Construction discipline
- SMSTS and CSCS certification
- Minimum 3 yearsβ project management experience in commercial construction or mechanical services
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple sites and travelling frequently
