My client is a 60+ person practice with offices across the UK. They're looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background in building services to lead on a variety of projects. They promote from within, invest properly in their people, and work across sectors that most engineers find interesting: heritage, healthcare, education, rail.
The Role:
- Leading mechanical design projects end-to-end - from initial survey and feasibility through to design, specification, site supervision and handover.
- Being the senior voice on mechanical services - managing workflows, holding QA standards, and ensuring the detail is right.
- Bringing junior engineers on - mentoring, training, and helping the team grow around you.
- Getting involved in the business side - bidding, fee proposals and project financials as you settle in and progress.
About you:
- Degree in a relevant engineering subject.
- 3-5+ years in building services design.
- Confident with mechanical design software and AutoCAD & Revit.
- Exposure to sustainability or low-energy design.
